2011 is our eight full season of farmers’ markets at the Stahl-Conrad Homestead (a non-profit historical society) at 9724 W. Forest Home Avenue (1 block north of Grange and Forest Home). Market dates this year are June 18, July 2, 16, 30, August 13, September 3, 17 and  October 8. 22, 2011.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Market hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Harvest at the Homestead farmers’ market recalls the Hales Corners Stock Fair which was held monthly from 1871 to 1958 on Forest Home Avenue from Highway 100 north to Grange Avenue. Unlike the Stock Fair, however, there won’t be any farm animals for sale!

For detailed information about events and vendors, and to sign up to get e-mail updates prior to each market, go to  http://www.harvestatthehomestead.org/.  If you would like to be involved as a vendor or a volunteer, or if you have any questions or suggestions, please call the market coordinator, Robert Stockinger, at 414-708-0584 (please leave your name and phone number).

The Homestead won a second place award in the 2005 Hales Corners 4th of July parade.  The float celebrated the Harvest at the Homestead farmers' markets.
